I have been making cakes for friends and family since time began and relish the opportunity to try out new and interesting ideas. It started with a bright green caterpillar cake for a friends 50th birthday and has evolved through sea-themed wedding cakes adorned with flowing turquoise ribbon and sparkles to a giant Battenberg covered in ambling bees and daisies for a spring wedding.

 

As well as having a passion for baking, I have also worked creating and cooking food in restaurants for the past 5 years. In Bath I began my real obsession with food at Blackstone's Gourmet Takeaway as assistant chef before moving up to the role of head chef in 2007. I relished the opportunity to create recipes and menus and went on to develop my skills working at Demuth's Vegetarian Restaurant up until last year when I moved to Cornwall and began baking non-stop!

 

I like to experiment with colours, themes and flavours and working with you I will strive to achieve something that will keep people talking and keep people coming back for more!

 

I also believe in supporting other local businesses and keeping my carbon footsteps to a minimum and being based in Cornwall there are plenty to choose from. I use free-range eggs from a farm up the road near St Agnes and other locally sourced ingredients, keeping cows and chickens happy through out the south-west.

 

Also available is the option to have gluten-free and/or vegan cakes as those who suffer from an allergy or intolerance should not be denied the glory of cake.

 

I have included some ideas on the website just in case you need some inspiration to get you started. I also have a slide show on the welcoming page showing the different stages to assembling a wedding cake just to give you an idea of what time and effort is put in to making your special cake.

Deliveries to places in the South-West start at £5 but obviously if it is just up the road (i.e within 10 miles of Perranporth) then there is no charge.
